This shrub to small tree grows to 6m tall. The flowers are white to creamy and numerous in parasol like clusters. The fruit is bright dark red. The leaves are opposite and deciduous. They are divided into 5-7 leaflets which
are pointed and sharply toothed. Its usual habitat is moist clearings.
